The BA (Hons) Business Management programme (Top-Up) provides students with the opportunity to study across a range of business disciplines, establishing a firm grounding to pursue a wide variety of careers in business. The programme places a major emphasis on employability skills and career aspirations. It achieves this through a blend of academic study, intercultural awareness and employability and enterprise skills development. BA (Hons) Business Management (Top-Up) skills are critical to the success of all organisations. Future leaders require both the knowledge and soft skills to deal with complex, uncertain, and dynamic situations. Students engage with a range of contemporary management issues and themes, and apply learning to real business scenarios, live case studies and collaborative activities. Students explore what it takes to lead innovation and change, collaborate across industries and sectors, deliver sustainable strategies and flourish in a global and diverse environment.
The Bachelor of Art (Honors) in Business Management is a one-year “Top Up” programme offered on full-time delivery mode that is designed to “top up” the students’ existing vocational qualification (e.g. UAE Higher Diploma, UK Higher National Diploma, Scottish Qualifications) It has been designed in line with international standards and aims to provide a high quality business education. The curriculum is carefully designed to integrate core business and specialized courses as detailed in the illustrative study plan.

Our course has been developed in close collaboration with several leading professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Your first year ‘Understanding Marketing’ module covers 95% of the syllabus for the CIM Award in Marketing Principles and you can sign up to take the exam.
Some of the core accounting modules provide exemptions from the CIMA exams.
